Brainwave Suite Audio Book
Brainwave Suite is the second in the series of audio books about meditation with the help of sound. I listened to the sample 5 minutes and added one more audio book to my “books to buy” list. Beautiful music with some unidentified birds singing in the background – really relaxing.
When you listen to the sample, remember to use your headphones. I missed that at first and thought I had some problems with my speakers.
Brainwave suite – A breakthrough audio technology based on your natural brainwaves
We all experience many states of consciousness, from ordinary waking and sleeping states to extraordinary states in which we are more at peace, particularly aware, or unusually creative. Each of these states has a unique pattern of brainwaves that can be mapped and measured. Brainwave Suite uses inaudible pulses of sound, based on these brain maps, to trigger your brain to produce the state you want to experience.

Assassination Vacation Audio Book
Assassination Vacation is an audio book by Sarah Vowell. It’s a seven hours abridged audio book published by Simon & Schuster.
Sarah Vowell exposes the glorious conundrums of American history and culture with wit, probity, and an irreverent sense of humor. With Assassination Vacation, she takes us on a road trip like no other–a journey to the pit stops of American political murder and through the myriad ways they have been used for fun and profit, for political and cultural advantage.
From Buffalo to Alaska, Washington to the Dry Tortugas, Vowell visits locations immortalized and influenced by the spilling of politically important blood, reporting as she goes with her trademark blend of wisecracking humor, remarkable honesty, and thought-provoking criticism. We learn about the jinx that was Robert Todd Lincoln (present at the assassinations of Presidents Lincoln, Garfield, and McKinley) and witness the politicking that went into the making of the Lincoln Memorial.
The resulting narrative is much more than an entertaining and informative travelogue–it is the disturbing and fascinating story of how American death has been manipulated by popular culture, including literature, architecture, sculpture, and–the author’s favorite–historical tourism.
Though the themes of loss and violence are explored and we make detours to see how the Republican Party became the Republican Party, there are lighter diversions into the lives of the three presidents and their assassins, including mummies, show tunes, mean-spirited totem poles, and a nineteenth-century biblical sex cult.
IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE:
Conan O’Brien Robert Todd Lincoln
Eric Bogosian John Wilkes Booth
Stephen King President Abraham Lincoln

Madonna – Audio Book
Madonna is a 10 hour audio book by Andrew Morton. The narrator is Ian Peakes.
At the age of forty-three, with a career that spans two decades and ranges from the scandalous to the transcendent, Madonna is a bigger phenomenon than ever. But who is the private woman behind the public image?
Andrew Morton, whose #1 New York Times bestsellers about Princess Diana and Monica Lewinsky have proved his ability to gain access to insiders who won’t talk to anyone else, answers that question in this decidedly unauthorized biography.
Morton’s extensive, in-depth interviews with members of Madonna’s inner circle – lovers, friends (even as far back as school friends), and business connections, many of whom have never spoken before now – allow him to go behind the carefully constructed myths to unmask the real Madonna.
Andrew Morton is able to make startling revelations, among them the real story of Madonna’s family background; the events behind the violent attack that changed her views on sex and men; her relationships with Michael Jackson, Prince, John F. Kennedy Jr., Vanilla Ice, and other rock and Hollywood stars; the mystery man she wanted to marry; and the darkest days of her career when she threatened to quit show business.
From motherless child to wife and mother, from “boy toy” to fiercely independent diva, Madonna is one of the most remarkable women of our time.

Audio Book Light On Snow
Audio book Light On Snow is written by Anita Shreve and narrated by Alyson Silverman.
From the bestselling author of The Pilot’s Wife comes a tender and surprising novel about love and its consequences.
Snowshoeing over crusted snow in the woods near their home, twelve-year-old Nicky Dillon and her father come upon something shocking. There, in the pristine winter scene, an abandoned baby wails, its survival made possible only by the coincidence of their having chosen this path for their late afternoon outing.
In the days and weeks that follow, Nicky glimpses corners of the adult world that she never dreamed existed. As she follows the fate of the baby girl and talks with the police officers assigned to investigate, Nicky for the first time asks questions about her life’s strange shape.
Why has her father moved them to this isolated New England farmhouse? How can they come to terms with the tragedy they left behind? And how can she bridge the chasm between his needs and her own growing sense of the world?
Nicky’s ideas about life are thrown into stark relief by the arrival of a young woman haunted by her own terrible choices. Together, Nicky, her father, and this woman must work their way through a thicket of decisions, each one seeming to carry equal possibilities of heartbreak or redemption.
With the glorious prose and emotional resonance that have won readers’ hearts all over the world, Anita Shreve delivers her deepest and most powerful novel yet-a mesmerizing story of the secrets we keep and the secrets we unearth, and the power of forgiveness to mend even the most battered souls.
